Danny Trejo, Robert DeNiro, Jeff Fahey, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson…and Steven Seagal? I cannot even begin to wait.

  1. Awesome doesn’t even begin to describe it… Man, coupled with PREDATORS, it looks like Rodriguez has got 2 films I can’t wait to see.

  2. This made my day.

  3. christian Says:

Gonna be fun popcorn summer fer sure…

  4. skizziks Says:

If this is even half as good as its trailer…

  5. “Introducing Don Johnson” hah!

  6. that looks like a hoot

(i will say, alba took me out of it tho. i don’t actively dislike her or anything but she just comes off as so bland and vanilla amidst all the delicious maniacal glee and taking-the-mickey. she’s got all the charisma of a bar of soap)

    • and i meant to say, how bizarre to see jeff fahey after all these years! i think ‘lawnmower man’ was the last gasp of fahey in my memory (surely he’s done stuff since then i just don’t think i’ve seen it)

“and introducing don johnson”, LOL. i mean really, what movie can’t benefit from a bit of the don john?

      • Fahey has been enjoying something of a career revival as of late with a fantastic turn in PLANET TERROR and a recurring role on LOST. Great to see him getting some mainstream exposure once again!

        • christian Says:

I’m glad he was kept in the full-length version of MACHETE — he was one of the best things about GRINDHOUSE.

          • oh shit, i have a horrible confession: i fell asleep in ‘planet terror’ and have never seen it subsequently (ducks beer cans and tomatoes), i must have missed fahey’s bit, i didn’t even know he was in it! (and i only watched ‘lost’ for the first season or so, no fahey that i can remember)

i know for the sake of propriety i must rectify this and see ‘planet t’ again to at least complete my grindhouse viewing, doom on me

        • jeff fahey is one of the great unsung stars of underdog hollywood. his role in white hunter, black heart was perfect. he nailed it in LOST (no spoilers but yes, it is past tense), as a supporting role of an airline pilot drawn into cosmical backgammon play. we need more jeff fahey, and not only on bad tv movies.

planet terror was so awesome i nearly cried. featured sayid from LOST too.
