Favorite Screenshot Theatre: Goldfinger (1964)

Outside of his iconic intro in DR. NO (1962), I think this is the coolest image of Sean Connery from any of his Bond films. Note the slick black suit as he’s halo’d by Ken Adam’s fantastic sleek interior. No well-dressed spy should be without either.

  1. Very cool. 47 years later from the first time I saw it and this remains my favorite Bond film.

  2. Yeah, this film is a close second for me just after THUNDERBALL, which is still my fave. But you really can’t go wrong with a beefy assassin named Oddjob whose hat is a deadly weapon.

  3. “Goldfinger” is my favorite Bond as well. The explosive opening and then that amazing credit sequence (& song) may be the best one, two punch ever. “Shocking. Positively shocking.”

  4. Red Grant kicks Oddjob’s chubby ass straight through his pelvis and out through his open fly.
