Queen Of All Women

To celebrate International Women’s Day — so my Republican fans might want to tune out — here’s one of our heroines, Pamela Grier. I saw her speak at Berkeley way back in 1995, and she promised the audience that Quentin Tarantino, who proclaimed her “Queen of all women”, was indeed writing a script for her. But to remind folks how Grier was the biggest Black female movie star of the 1970’s, here she is at the height of her power.

Thank heaven I’m gay. Otherwise I’d be drooling into my napkin. All this and RAQUEL! too.

By the way, Christian. What’s a Republican?

I’m definately back on the bus!

Pam and RAQUEL! would turn any man or woman’s sexuality.

      Republicans want to cure you.

      All aboard!

  2. Seconded.

  4. Netflix instant is now offering a couple of the “hooties in the jungle” pictures she did for Roger Corman, WOMEN IN CAGES and THE BIG BIRD CAGE. They’ve also got Pam in DRUM (the barely-released sequel to MANDINGO), and MACHETE MAIDENS UNLEASHED!, a documentary about the Filipino jungle schlock she did in the 70s.

A lotta great New World pix on Netflix instant – and MACHETE MAIDENS UNLEASHED! is fantastic. Mark Hartley is making the best docs on genre and exploitation to date.
