Happy Birthday Woody and Me

From HANNAH & HER SISTERS (1987), this is one of my favorite images in any Woody Allen film because it takes place in the late lamented Tower Records, where I would soon work on the video side;  and primarily because he so clearly intentionally framed Duran Duran’s live LP, “Arena,” as a metaphoric backdrop to the confused characters on their Manhattan stage, letting me cinematically know that he whole-heartedly approves of one of my favorite bands.
